The Hand Mirror

Your eyes dart from the shaking door
and spot a looking glass,
an antique hand mirror resting flat
upon the table's mass.

Your alarm spikes high to see the face
trapped in the silvered frame:
the missing girl with her teddy bear,
pressing hands against the pane!
